Rodney Outdoor Room and Louvrelite 88 Sliding Shade System

This property in rural Rodney has its outdoor living area transformed by the installation of a Louvrelite 88 Shade Control System on a stunning outdoor room.

A relatively new product a Louvrelite 88 is one of several shade control options that Juralco has to offer its customers through its nationwide network of installers. By choosing this product the owners have effectively dissolved between inside and outside and have ensured maximum useability of this area, year-round. Louvrelite 88 Shade Control System is designed to promote privacy, in a stylish yet functional package which also has a degree of control over shade and airflow.

HomePlus Rodney as the installer worked very closely with the owner to enable their overall vision to be completed to their satisfaction. This successful collaboration has assured this property will be enhanced by this addition and that the owner will enjoy their deck as often as possible this summer and for many years to come.

Consisting of aluminium louvre or slats, The Louvrelite® 88 Series shade system makes use of them to manage shade and sunlight for areas like an outdoor room. They also represent a very real option for adding architectural interest to a building.  Louvrelite 88 use as an architectural feature is a demonstrable option for multi-unit living where outdoor areas are often found in proximity. Coming in a range of louvre or slat infill, the privacy screens can be configured vertically or horizontally according to preference.

A system of louvres or aluminium slats designed to be fixed or set in panels that slide along a runner in areas in an area of choice. In this example, one of the side walls has these panels and it can be used to promote privacy and help manage airflow and light through its tilting louvres and moveable panels. Enabling this area to be closed, or opened-up, up as and when required.

Three widths of slat available horizontal or vertical in 49mm, 60mm or 123mm, or horizontal louvres in three choices of 80mm, 120mm or 150mm. All have options for adjustable spacing and louvre angles for customised control. Top or bottom rolling options and the custom-made screens can be up to 1500m wide x 2700mm high and come in one, two, three or four door, screen configurations. All aluminium parts can be NZ powder coated from a wide range of Dulux colour choices to match existing joinery or as required.

The result is a successfully completed project that is sympathetic to its surroundings and has created an area that can be used year-round.
